When it comes to selecting artists for the festival, we have to keep in mind the word so often used ‘The VIBE’. Highlands, a small field at the heart of Landour, at 7550ft overlooking the Doon valley, provides a unique setting to experience music.
Gates to highlands, Rokeby Manor opens at 3PM and then continues an evening filled with great musical acts. A clear evening will guarantee a spectacular sunset along with the stunning view of the Doon valley at night. Now imagine all of this with music at the background. Can’t get better than this!
Coming back to Landour for another performance after their last act in Big Gig 2014, Raagleela will definitely add to the ‘Vibe’ of the festival. A world Fusion band that has an Indian classical base.

Born here at Landour, Mussoorie and now based in Delhi, the young Kiwi Singer/Songwriter Jordan Johnson has all the right ingredients to go along with the setting of the festival. Performing an all-acoustic set with his guitar, Jordan displays the perfect bridge between a mellow soft rock and contemporary set.

Returning to the Big Gig for the third time will be The Okies and Bootleg Browns. Both outfits have played at the festival with great responses. The Okies are an American Folk duo, who have an eclectic offering of songs to offer. The Bootleg Browns turn things a little blue, we mean the genre not the mood with some renditions of old blues tunes and blistering originals.
One of the surprises for this years’ Big Gig Exclusive is the chance that has been offered to one lucky band from the Doon valley to perform in front of you. The selection for this band or artist will be on the basis of an online competition where they have to upload a video or audio clip of them performing. You could very well be listening to a future star(s) this year.
